Hi. My name is James and I love sound.
I have spent the last 20 years mixing and producing live events. I grew up playing guitar and singing, and audio production became a passion project as I was always chasing the sounds inside my head. I cut my teeth on Allen & Heath analog consoles (GL4800 was a classic) in high school. I came up through the beginning of digital consoles (iLive & X-32 days) and have continued to develop the craft of mixing live sound. I have mixed thousands of events over the last 20 years and I am exited to share my learnings (and some failures along the way) with you here on this site.
I spend my available time helping churches, theaters, and live venues create great live experiences. I’m passionate about great sound and I love teaching people how to thinking about mixing live sound. It’s an art and a science.
